How much does it cost?

Nothing. It's free to advertise on RentFair and our partner sites for a full six weeks. If you haven't found tenants after that period, you can renew your advert for free.

How do I list my property on RentFair?

It's easy.

Sign up as a member, if you haven't already joined. Then log-in and click on “add new property” in the menu bar. Enter the details of your property, the rent you require and any requirements you may have as to prospective tenants.

Your advertisement will appear on RentFair instantly and will be listed on our partner sites within 24-48 hours.

Once entered, your property will be saved securely on our database so that you won't need to re-enter the details when you come to re-let it.

What are your partner sites?

In addition to being listed on this site, properties will also be advertised on our partner sites, including Fish4Homes.co.uk, Nestoria, and Zoomf.com.

Flatshare/room ads may not be listed on all partner sites (because some partner sites do not accept room only ads).

Fish4 has been established by four of the UK's biggest regional newspaper groups. It regularly runs adverts in the local press across the country and the site attracts more than a million visitors each month. Zoomf.com and Nestoria are popular specialist property search engines used by estate agents.

Which Properties can be advertised?

All properties located in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland can be advertised on RentFair. There is no restriction on the type of property (house, flat, maisonette, room) as long as it meets all legal requirements for residential occupation.

How long will my property advert last?

Adverts will usually run for 6 weeks unless removed earlier by you. At our discretion, we may sometimes continue showing adverts beyond this period.

To remove your ad from our listings, simply log in to the site and click "mark property as let" next to the advert in your My Properties page.

I don't want my phone number displayed on my ad.

That's fine. You can opt for tenants to contact you only by messaging through RentFair, keeping your email address and phone number private. Simply change your preferences in your Profile page.

I can't upload my own pictures.

Please email them to us and we'll upload them for you. There's no charge for this but please give your property address in your email.

I've let my property. How do I remove it from your listings?

Log in and click "mark property as let" next to the property advert in your My Properties page. The property will be removed from our listings but will remain in your My Properties page for when you come to re-let it.

How do I re-let my property through RentFair?

Simply login and go to your “My Properties” page. Click on the “relet” option alongside the property you wish to re-advertise. Update your property details as necessary, order any additional media you require, and the property will be reposted to our listings pages.

What is your privacy policy?

RentFair takes your confidentiality and security seriously. We are registered under the Data Protection Act and we will never sell your personal data to third parties without your express written consent (except as part of a sale of the whole business). We recommend that you read our Privacy Policy and full Terms and Conditions for full details of how your data is handled.

I'm having problems listing my property on your site.

Please email us so that we can assist. If the problem is our fault or due to an error on the site, we will list your property free of charge. But we may not know there is a problem unless you tell us, so please do let us know.

I can't find my property on your partner sites.

Properties will usually appear on partner sites within 24 hours of adding them to RentFair. Sometimes properties may take a little longer to appear, depending on the frequency of updates on our partner sites. This is something over which we have no control. If you can't find your property on our partner sites after about 48 hours, please email us so that we can investigate.

I'm worried about paying online.

Listings are free. If you choose to order any extras, payment can be made safely and securely through Nochex Online Payment Services, our third party payment provider. Nochex is one of the UK's leading online payment company, providing secure online credit and debit card payment services to many thousands of businesses throughout the UK. Further details of the encryption and security systems used by Nochex are available on their website here. Please note that your payment will be shown as "Nochex" on your account statements.
